CANTOR PLIGHTS

It has come to our attention that two of the long lost shorts that Eddie Cantor did at Paramount have been possibly lost forever. It seems that Paramount sold the films to Republic and Cockeyed News and That Party In Person disintegrated. If anyone has any knowledge of any existing prints, please email us here.

Don't forget to write to AMC and tell them "We Want Cantor!"

Eddie Cantor was mentioned on two A&E Biographys. On the Jack Benny, they used Eddie doing "Each Sunday With You" at the end (which is strange, since it had nothing to do with Benny) and on the Danny Thomas Biography, Thomas is heard imitating Cantor on the radio in the early days of his career. The whole thing is ironic since Biography refuses to do one on Cantor himself. He was also mentioned on the Ziegfeld Biography. You might want to write to A&E 235 East 45th St NYC 10017 since they have said "no" all along.
